Privacy Policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

This policy explains what Service Advisor Academy collects and why.

What we collect.

  • Account details: name, email, password (stored only as a one-way hash), timezone.
  • Training activity: lessons completed, answers, exam attempts and scores, simulator tickets, role-play transcripts and grades, certificates and badges.
  • Billing details are handled by our payment processor; we store only the customer and subscription IDs it gives us.
  • Basic technical logs for security (for example, sign-in attempts).

Who can see your training data.

  • You can always see your own history.
  • The shop that pays for your seat can see your progress, scores and role-play transcripts for work done while you're with that shop.
  • If you move to a new shop, your new shop can see your certificates, but not the detailed answers from your old shop.
  • Your coach (if your shop buys coaching) can see the same as your shop.
  • Anyone with your certificate code can see your name, certificate level, dates and status on the public verification page.

AI processing. Role-play messages are sent to our AI provider to play the customer and to draft a grade. We don't use your data to train AI models.

Email. We send account emails (sign-in links, invites, receipts), weekly progress emails to managers, and reminders if you haven't trained in a few days. Marketing email only goes to people who opt in, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

Retention. Training history and certificates are kept while your account exists so your certificates stay verifiable. You can ask us to delete your account; we'll keep only what the law requires and a record that a revoked or expired certificate existed, so verification stays honest.

Security. Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and each shop's data is separated at the database level.

Your choices. You can download or correct your data, or ask us to delete it, by contacting support.

Children. The service is for adults working in or training for the automotive service industry.
